The Friday Brew Review: Southern Tier Brewing Company Back Burner

We might be far from Friday, but here’s a Monday pick-me-up for those weekday blues.

Southern Tier Brewing Company’s Back Burner was the brew that got reviewed.

How’d it taste?

This one delivered in full spades. A fruity taste initially with hints of malt and barley at the end. A full bodied taste indeed with just a ting of sweet.

After that first sip, the malty notes became more prevalent the further in you got. You could also make out the taste of the maple syrup in there too.

How’d it look?

It had a great dark amber color with an even sweeter aroma. The head on it wasn’t too foamy either.

It may have been a 10.5% ABV, but you’d never know with all the flavor and smells coming from the glass.

The verdict.

It was awesome. A solid 9 out of 10. Give it a try the next time you’re looking for something other than that go-to IPA.

Until next time, cheers!
